most of the black females i know have had white partners.
I agree with everything you said except the last sentence. There are plenty of mixed people that are just as f**ked up as anyone esle.
Yes they should you don't know what flavor you like until you taste them all.
You're racist!!!
i mean expand your options!!! find the one u love dont base it on the race
I understand where you're coming from. Black men have a bad rep for being either ghetto, unsuccessful, and/or players. However, I don't think it would be fair for you to say that about ALL Black men. Many people also have negative thoughts towards Black women, believing us to be dominating and aggressive. But of course, there are exceptions to both of these rules.
Finding a good partner shouldn't be limited to racial boundaries. From the way you are speak, you seem to be a well put together and goal-oriented person. The most important thing should be for you to find a man that has similar focuses in life and appreciates you the way you are whether he is white, black, yellow, or magenta. There are a million other aspects of a person that are much more important than race and color.
The reason many Black women insist on dating Black men is simply because it is what they are used to. Black people tend to hang out and associate with other black people so it is natural for them to find partners within their Black social networks. Black women who, like me, are educated, refuse to speak Ebonics, and hang out with people of all ethnicities are typically considered "oreos" and looked down upon as traitors of their own race.
According to Sigmund Freud, women seek men that look and act similar to their own fathers. As a result, they end up looking for partners that resemble themselves. That is the reason why many people date within their own races. Prejudice against other races also plays a huge role.
My advice to you is to be open-minded in your dating experiences. Just like you want Black and White men to get to know you before they pass judgments, try not to judge all Black men negatively based on the way some of them are. In the same token, don't hold White, Latino, or Asian men up on a pedestal. There are good and bad people of every race.
Many Black men such as Martin Luther King who aren't mixed are also productive. It's just that it's much harder for a "pure" Black man to gain as much success as someone like Obama because they have many negative stereotypes that count against them. Obama has many qualities, other than his ethnicity, that have contributed to his success including his intelligence, youth, and reasonably good looks.
