Do women hold the aces when it comes to dating?

I guy has to ask out a woman- she can decline or accept

A guy is expected to pay for time spent in a leisurely environment while on a date with a woman

A woman decides when she wants to take things 'further' with a guy.

Seems to me that women have the upperhand when dating guys or am I missing something?

Well depends on who asks who out, the person who was asked on the date has the decision of that. Also the date is to just get to know the person anyway, so is he/she is interested in you, then he/she will call back, text, etc. Its usually a guy asking a girl out, and not likely a girl asking a guy out.

though it is flattering to a guy when that happens.
