There is nothing wrong with dating a black dude. Or black girl w/ white guy or hispanic with white, etc etc. I don't react whatsoever. they aren't monsters!
Why does it matter that he's half white....does that make him "sorta" white and okay enough to date??
I just want to say, that it is VERY obvious that there are some racists floating about, since there are many thumb downs on good answer. The idiot above me who said something about "feeling uncomfortable" had two thumb ups. Goes to show racism is alive and well.

I think interracial couples who stop focusing so much on race will be better off in the long run.
If you are with that person because of his attributes (non-physical) and personality then I wish you all the best. If you are just dating him because he's black and if he's just dating you because you're white, it isn't going to work. However, I don't suspect that is the case.
Unfortunately, too many interracial couples focus on race and therefore those couples probably won't last.
Sports Illustrated - She said his mother was half white. If you do the fuzzy math that means he is 3/4 Black. Derek Jeter is only 1/2 Black. 3/4 Black means he is just Black, not really biracial because most Black people have some white in in their blood.
We are not the ones that have to be happy with your choices in life. If you love him and are happy with him then, I wish you the best.

If you get along and love each other, there is no problem. You may expect some difficulty with some parts of society though and should decide if you have the personal fortitude to tolorate the criticism you might get from some people.
Maturity is especially important in an inner racial relationship.
I don't really have a problem with it. i think Black/white children come out to be exotic and beautiful lookin due to both of their different cultures. I am attracted to mixed Black guys,esp. the Black/white ones. I have no problems with it. I myself date IR.
I do not react. There is only one race, the human race. And perhaps you are the one who needs to get past this. And recognize that the two of you probably have more in common then you do dissimilar. Love doesn't come in colors.If your dating him because you love him then nothing is wrong with it.If your dating him because he's black you need to step back and take a good hard look at the picture.Lots of luck.

Honestly, I dont really like interracial couples. They make me uncomfortable, when I see a white girl with a black man it gets me a little irritated. Why couldnt she find a white guy really, we are the majority here in america we are 75% of the population, how could she not find a white guy, it seems as if she went explicitly out to find a black guy.
I have black friends and all and I am in no way racist, it just hurts my self esteem when I see a white girl with a black guy, its like she is telling me, White guys or I am not good enough for her so she goes out of the race.
Thats how i feel, im pretty sure black guys feel the same way when black girls date white guys, im pretty sure though i couldnt date a black girl.
